Balloon Breathing

Sit or stand comfortably

Place one hand on your belly and the other on your chest.

Inhale deeply through your nose, filling your belly up like a balloon

Hold the breath for a moment.

Exhale slowly through your mouth, imagining the balloon slowly deflating.

Why it helps:

This exercise promotes awareness of breath while teaching children about diaphragmatic breathing.
